Hillary has been investigated all the way back to kindergarden years ago. People can keep bringing up the crap she was cleared on by a dozen investigations but it doesn't hold watter. Obama is the new guy on the scene and got this far without being vetted. But let's look at what we have here:
1. He claimed he passed legislation on nuclear leakage that actually died in committee.
2. The shady Rezko land deal.
3. Changing the amount that Rezko donated to his campaign numerous times, from $40k eventually to $250k.
4. Double talking the federal campaign funding agreement with McCain.
5. His rhetoric doesn't match his fundraising or his business connections re labor unions and middle class workers.
6. Disengenuous smear of Ferraro's innocuous comment by comparing that to Rev Wright's outrageous comments.
7. Throwing his own grandmother under the bus to save his good buddy Rev Wright.
I could go on but you get the point. Unfortunately, we SHOULD be talking about experience and policy. But Obama has very little experience to talk about, thus the smear campaign against Hillary.
As for "the family," Obama's supporters are doing the best they can to deflect the Rev Wright debacle, but comparing him to some methodist fundamentalists won't wash. Sure these guys believe some stupid things: THEY'RE FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANS! But show me where any one of them ever said "god damn america"? Sure, both are religious nuts but only one is anti-American.
Match this with his not saying the pledge of allegiance (Wright influence? Duh), not wearing a flag pin "on principle" (What principle? Wright influence? doh!), his wife saying her husband running for president makes her proud of her country for the first time in her adult life (Wright influence? Obama's influence on her? You think her husband becoming a US Senator might make her proud of her country? Naw.)
And here's the new daily Rev Wright quote:
"South Africa and Israel worked on "an ethnic bomb that kills blacks and Arabs."
Then the article from a Hamas writer reprinted in the Church's newsletter:
"what the Zionist Jews did to the Palestinians is worse than what the Nazis did to the Jews."
Obama has now said:
"Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying there at the church,"
Now that is BULLSHIT. He's not comfortable now because he is in boiling hot water. He had TWENTY YEARS to leave the church if he was uncomfortable. This comment makes me distrust him. I believe he was in fact completely comfortable with Rev Wright's comments before it became such a problem for him. It doesn't wash with his rhetoric of bringing the nation together.
