Unless you know something I don't, non-renewable resources don't renew
themselves once they run out. And I don't know too many other planets
in the vicinity like Earth we can move to - not without a lot of work to
them first.

Do you have some solution to the issue of trying to maintain our current
civilization on dwindling resources, or do you just consider it liberal rhetoric
and therefore dismiss it out of hand?

Because reality, nature, and physics don't give a rat's ass about human
politics. We live on a finite world and the human population is growing,
and it is going to want more resources and space.

We can have more people conducting more birth control now, or we can
wait until it's Soylent Green Day and then we'll have no other choice but
radical measures.
