Wow

Only in this bizarre race could the incredible fund-raising ability of a candidate be used as an argument that he's unelectable. Are any of you guys actually reading what you write?

Look, the points the author makes are valid but he conveniently leaves out the fact that not so many weeks ago, Clinton was polling over 25 points ahead in Pennsylvania. Hell, at the beginning of this primary she would have been expected to destroy him by huge totals.

Obama's spending and campaign strategy worked perfectly in Pennsylvania if you have an objective opinion about it all. He limited Clinton's delegate improvement to around 10 - 12, an amount that sources say will be erased quickly in upcoming SD defections and expected results in the remaining states.

The goalposts got moved drastically in the last few weeks and you all very much swallowed it. Did you know that Obama won Texas when the final caucus results came in weeks later and delegate counts were completed? Yet, that barely made a blip in the news cycle and Hillary's camp still claims the win and part of the meme that Obama can't win the big states.

The truth is that much of the constituency that people are claiming that Obama can't ever win over are only relevant in the primaries and not the general election. People obsessed with guns and religion are not the core of the Democratic Party and are much more likely to vote for McCain over either Obama or Clinton in the GE. They'll for the most part cross over and vote for someone talking tough like Clinton has been doing in the primaries but they really don't like her. Look at her negatives for crying out loud.

Let's also remember that if what the author is saying, that the reason Obama is being shunned by this group is based on race, that often racisim and misogyny go hand in hand. Cretins that would deny a black person a spot at the table often have that same view towards women.

Look, Obama has his warts and there's some truth in the criticism being applied to him but I'm not seeing that criticism applied equally to Clinton. Her negatives to American voters in general (not just thing core everyone speaks of) have done nothing but rise dramatically during this campaign. Were I a Republican, I'd be drooling over her getting the nomination. Keep that in mind when you read and hear accounts of this primary that just don't jive with the math.
