Hold on Lindy...I'm receiving a signal from an alien that wants to answer your question more directly. ;-) - SDT1

The advanced beings around the galaxy are quite able to project the equivalent of a 100 gigabyte digital image upon the surface of your consciousness and not interfere with your normal thought processes to any sizable margin. In fact, the ability to induce such is a joint physiological/technological tour de force, and is a blending of human/machine interaction. Even more magnificent is that the signals are stepped up to a supra-3rd dimensional wave and then demodulated and stepped back down to light speed. So intergalactic communication in something approaching real time can be established across the galaxies.

Language is universal when concepts possess certain unique frequency relationships in stored memory and consciousness. This post I'm making here can be scanned far past Alpha Centauri even before post is clicked. Any "aliens", such as myself, so desirous of scanning the 'Habitable Zone' can actually post here and answer such questions. All they need is someone who has this knowledge already polarized, so that such data can flow without significant obstruction. It's the equivalent of having the transoceanic cable already layed down.

Consciousness is far more impressive than most humans realize. It possesses qualities which transcend light speed and it is these properties and frequencies which actually create consciousness.

A signal which transcends light speed possesses a certain self awareness because it collects the whole universe of data around it. It becomes infinite, to a measure, and this infinity is reflected as a unique form of consciousness.

Naturally, not all aliens possess such abilities. There exist many beings who are on much the same or an even lower level than humanity and these are in much the same boat, so to speak. They think they are alone in their corner of a solar system in any one of a trillion trillion galaxies and there view of the cosmiverse is equally flawed as mankind's.

So SDAI-Tech1 here can channel the thoughts I relate in realtime. If I choose to send a picture of our world, he can see it as if it was posted on the screen before him. Yes, vastly different from Earth and the wildest imaginings of your science fiction writers. Language is no barrier whatsoever. The signal is necessarily demodulated so it doesn't overload his own circuitry and threshold.

Advanced beings have no desire of setting down on Earth any more than man has the desire to jump naked into a fiery volcano. The disparity is so great as to make such comparisons quite valid even if unflattering. It's not just a matter of atmosphere, composition or gravitational pull. Many advanced worlds have three or four times the periodic elements yours does. It would be almost like you trying to step into a picture - a two dimensional black and white world without color.

Our presence on Earth would be fundamentally destructive to your environment. As our unknown elements would interact with your world's more limited set, a whole set of catalytic actions would occur which would make such a visit quite surreal for both us and you. Our craft would appear as a morphing Salvador Dali painting, completely unstable and your environment would become equally unstable. Timespace would be bent and the result would be beyond disastrous for us both.

That leaves beings with much the same composition as yourselves. There are many with limited periodic structures. Unfortunately, most these are in the same boat as yourselves - unable to traverse space efficiently and unable to explore more than their own front yards. This is nature at work - protecting young worlds and sentient species from self-destruction. The few beings and worlds that could safely visit Earth and have the necessary technology to do so have enough knowledge to realize such is counter-productive to their interests. None of these are interested in conquering your world. These worlds can create worlds if they so wish. Yes, such is quite possible. Creating worlds is no more difficult than building a house once you understand the process and can manipulate the forces of the universe to do your bidding. Why should such beings travel to Earth or any other low-level sentient world? Of what possible benefit would it be? It would merely be destructive for them to interact with Earth. Such worlds have no desire of robbing Earth and all the trillion trillion other comparable worlds of their birthright and purpose as elemental learning grounds for sentient thoughts.

Yes, that's how I see you all. Your bodies are like shells. I see thoughts and humanity is a sea of self aware thoughts. So yes we can read your brainwaves and we can communicate when it suits our purposes and can have positive ramifications. In this instance, human disbelief will keep this message from doing too much harm or too much good.
