Sounds like great reasons to be a conservative.
I believe all you owe the the rest of the universe is to pay your bills and to not hurt anybody else.

I believe everything else is a scam to get me to do something for someone else so they can feel better about themselves.
That is a very conservative statement. The bleeding hearts scam people every day by "helping" people with other people's money. Even though they've spent tens of trillions of dollars of other people's money over the past several decades, no progress has come from it. That's a text book example of a scam.
And I believe the only reason people insist we need to be rugged individualists is so we won't organize against them.
Or maybe they're just tired of the social engineers wasting trillions of dollars to deconstruct civilization and turn this country into one big inner city.
