The United States greatly depends upon the cooperation and support of our allies in Europe in a hundred different ways - from the fight against the Taliban and Al Queda in Afghanistan , dealing with the thorny issue of Kosovo independance, fighting international terrorism and crime in dozens of countries, not to mention international trade and major economic issues...

Instead of heaping scorn on our free, democratic allies in Europe who express a logical preference for potential American leadership that would stress a more responsible, cooperative and diplomatic foreign policy, rather than belligerence, arrogance and unilateral action with disasterous consequences (e.g. Iraq), perhaps the Republican party should ponder the reasons why American prestige and respect for her leadership has plummeted during the 8 catastrophic years of the Bush administration. It's certainly not
because everyone else in the world is just too stupid and clueless to properly appreciate the genius and moral leadership of George Bush.
