You keep SAYING that. Yet I am having trouble remembering any discussion where you advocated less government power in any particular circumstance, and a lot of cases where you seem to think the government doesn't have enough control over the private sector. I could be wrong.

The critical difference between economic power and government power is that the latter has no competition, by definition. The fantasy of a "Rollerball" world where a single giant corporation rules everything is no more realistic or plausible than the libertarian fantasies you accuse me of. As I've said a million times, the local building code people have a lot more power over me than Bill Gates does, but the point never gets across.

A great first step might be to begin educating Americans about how philosophy and economics actually work, rather than sending kids to schools that seem to do their best to convince them that the ideal civilization is where the government runs everything.

So, I take it you'll be voting for the socialist this fall?
