Please point out the "straw men." Keep in mind that the word has an exact meaning, and is not a synonym for "Oh, yeah?"
Then for fun you might check out the fallacies in your post, including ad hominem and a nice bonus hit on Godwin's Law.
1) McCain is running on his having been a POW
This is interesting, since I have yet to hear any speech of his where this has been a major issue. You got something to back this up?
2) Bud Day, among others, has a legitimate standing to comment on this issue. That he had something to say in the 2004 election is neither here nor there. I didn't realize the Democrats were still so insane about the Swift Boat thing, but like the 2000 election, it's apparently a scab they love to pick at.
As always, you hope to God that people simply accept "swiftboat" as a buzz word without engaging the front end of their brain (remember, in Obama's campaign, the front end of the brain is the enemy). In this way, simply connecting Day with the Swift Boat Veterans is enough to destroy his credibility, and avoid any actual issues.
In his 2004 ad, he spoke of Kerry's anti-military post-war activities. Is that a "smear" now? By your own definition? Or is "Winter Soldier" being carefully written out of history too?
Your talking points are on every damn liberal board I can find. My God, it's July, and your side is already panicking.
