Right. All these assessments are opinions based on emotion tanted swags of probabilities.
What's exciting is that any SETI detection can upset the rare paradigm.
Or much more likely, knowlege via spectroscopic observation of possible 'Earthlike' planets by around the 2030s will add some data to the statistics. Is even life itself rare or common???
