Just ignorant grasping in the dark. I don't have anymore of an answer as to what consciousness is than the next guy. All I'm saying is that our sense of self remains static throughout life, but our brains undergo a great deal of change on a day to day basis. How many neurons die every day? How many new neural connections are made and broken every day? So much change every day, yet here we are. The same as yesterday, last week, last year, and last decade.
Does that show that we have a soul? That a part of us that transcends our physical bodies? I don't know. It's a question for the Ages, but maybe what we label "supernatual" is completely natural. A part of nature and existance that we don't understand and haven't figured out yet.
