artilects, etc.

Economics will favor the accelerated development of artilects for many reasons, for instance, as I pointed out before, to facilitate space missions. It is anyone's guess how individual humans might benefit, especially in terms of actual experiential dimensions. There may be little or no connection with the metaphysics of mankind's past in the possibilities opened up by AL/AI. There may be a rapid sequence of multiple 'singularities', which no model generated by our brains would be able to illuminate now or ever.

Interesting to speculate on is what already might have been accomplished by civilizations other than those on earth in artificial life/conciousness/intelligence, and what that might mean for us, if anything.
