You say that Earth has about 500 millions years before it turns into Venus (I think it will be sooner than that), nonetheless:
[Prehistoric man evolved during the Pleistocene epoch, about 1.6 million to 10,000 years ago, a period characterized by constancy and continuity (Kanazawa, 2004). Our ancestors were hunter-gatherers who would have spent their whole lives on the African savanna. Not only this, but for many generations, the environment remained stable, which is why evolution was able to take place. Evolution is a very slow process, which occurs over a long period of time through the mechanisms of natural selection and sexual selection.]
Just an example, but it's true.
I think it will be at least another 10,000 years before we'll start feeling the heat.

"People keep forgetting that Earth has at least another 500 million years before it turns into Venus, maybe longer. That's a lot of time for other pretty intelligent species to keep getting smarter, and the same thing can happen on other planets. Being stagnant for a million years is a blink of an eye, not something to worry about from an evolutionary perspective."
As I said, it may be sooner than that. Otherwise I wholeheartedly agree with the rest of what you said.
