Particularly when it involves spreading their borders.
Regardless of anyone's distaste for Bush, we remain a powerful member of the international community. Since Bush is still POTUS, should we remain silent and watch Russia annex the provinces, as some apparently fear they will? ("...it cannot lay claim to two breakaway provinces in neighboring Georgia...") Based on what has been said by Obama and others he is not exactly going out on a limb on the issue.
I hardly care what Russia does in Georgia, but regardless of ones personal opinion of Bush, the Republicans and the war, I haven't noticed any plans on our part to annex any territory or make Iraq the 51st State.
I suppose we could ask Iraq if they wish to apply.
As for the media, is there any possibility that they agree with the message he is deliverling in this instance, without feeling compelled to change their overall assessment of Bush?
