For Russia it is spoils, something that has been absent from our wars. Influence peddling makes billionaires but spoils make kingdoms

As for the price at the pump, I assume we buy most of our oil at market rate, which is OPEC controlled regardless of who owns it. I could be wrong but I doubt that Russia or Georgia could upset the balance.
