Regretably, I didn't bring the SLR. Didn't think they'd let me in with the big camera but once we got in I saw many cameras of that size. Rats. So all we had were some pocket digitals and the photos, once it got dark, are blurry. The two spotights opposite our position didn't help matters nor did the vibrations of the very stadium itself.

Fortunatly, the lack of camera was made up for by having decent binoculars, as you can see the podium was pretty far away. Outside the stadium you can see lots of red lights. Those are part of the security closing down Interstate 25 for five miles using dozens of snowplows to create the road blocks.

We had a good view into the media tents containing the talking heads, who watched the speech on their monitors with their backs turned towards the podium. Except one, for several minutes the CNN gang was actually watching the speech from their perch. Odd.
