And oh yeah, it was a great speech. Truly memorable.

When I turned on the box a few minutes before showtime, it was still tuned to MSNBC, and Matthews and Olbermann had gotten hold of an advance copy of the speech, and going nuts over it. Chris's leg must've been tingling like he'd plugged into 220 three-phase. It wasn't just nauseating, they were giving out spoilers despite the embargo. That's beyond the pale.

It was a pleasure to remember Fox's advice to watch C-SPAN. Saw the whole thing as "raw" as you can get when the DNC controls the cameras. At least I got the DNC Director's Cut instead of the MSNBC remix.

Well-crafted speech, eloquent, memorable phrases and stirring calls to action. And a healthy helping of red meat, too, for a well-balanced political diet.
