Very top row. The absolute nose-bleed row. Good thing I'm used to altitude. But what a sight, we could take it all in from there.

The most amazing thing was the faces of those around me. Even in the mile long line to get into the stadium, the long walk back to the car, during the slow jostling through the throng, all I saw were smiles, the look of pride radiating outward from deep within. Despite the difficulties surronding the logistics of getting into the stadium, everyone was really easy going. Conversations with strangers seemed more like conversations with friends you didn't know yet. I have never been in a crowd like that before. Oh, I've been in crowds that large before but never one that cordial or that happy. The energy was delightful.

I will cherish the memory of the people last night night more than the speech itself.
