re: Eye candy

It's a shame American politics has come down to this.
If your voters are unhappy campers, give them some beautiful eye candy instead of experience. It just might work. (Like SOMA or sound bytes). Who cares what she says? She's such a trip to watch. Then again, it may backfire during the debates.

Face it, the lady just likes her home town and state.
VP will take her away from her kids and her state; so she's totally unprepared.
If McCain goes early or becoms incapacitated, how can she worry about the country with five kids (and a newborn with Down's Syndrome).....if she's a woman, her family will take precedent or she'll find herself emotionally conflicted and drained. A terrible choice, and I hope somebody points that out.
Besides, with the GOP, the leaders are no more than figureheads for special interests anyway.

The republican party has a special "energy commission" and they all went up to Alaska last month to get their claws into the ANWAR drilling. She's probably the patsy that will roll over for the big oil companies, because they already said they wouldn't get involved unless they had the whole ticket.

>"Palin favored a market-driven plan aimed at getting large producers to compete against each other. In March she proposed the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act, which would provide up to $500 million in seed money to begin the process of constructing a natural gas pipeline. It would also freeze production taxes for 10 years for producers that agree to transport their gas through the pipeline. BP, Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips said that, under Palin's plan, they would neither bid on the project license nor commit their gas to the pipeline if another company was selected to build it. "
