Some folks seek deliverance from their politicians. Lord knows how foolish such notions are. We've had over two years of Obama and I still don't know what he intends to "change" if anything. First it was pulling the troops out of Iraq in months which gave him traction with the far gone left, then the situation got better and he has backpedaled on the months part and its as open-ended a policy as anything found in a Bush speech.

The economy? He wants to roll back the tax cuts. That's fine for the government coffers, but what about wealth generation? The silence there is deafening. He talks change...then picks Biden. Voices platitudes about the incompetence of the insiders in DC...then picks Biden. Repeats the Clintons old line of bringing a "new way of doing things in DC" and "bipartisanship"...and then picks Biden.

Sorry Obama. After 2 years of lines I can see you stand for " Same Ol' " in a BIG way.

An Obama Presidency would be a redux of the Clinton years - sans the faux prosperity of an exploited stock market. It would be painful to watch as the deliverance seekers here and elsewhere slowly turn on Obama just as they have on their old idols of deliverance - Bill & Hillary Clinton.

Then there is McCain. As corrupt morally as Biden, as "snaky" as either Biden or Obama, but he picks Palin who hasd confronted her own party.

Let's face it McCain knows the beltway insiders. Knows they are all trash and worth nothing. The fact he picked someone from out in the toolies with no experience shows McCain is smart enough to realize DC experience is the equivalent of a prostitute's "experience." People in DC are soiled. They are beholden to others. They are corrupted. ALL of them are. He is - so he knows this.

Palin is the only thing worth ten cents in this election. The only remote chance for real "change" in the whole lot. Sure, she may have religion issues, her daugther has engaged in pre-marital sex and she is far from perfect. And that said, I don't really expect much from her if she were elected with McCain. The corrupting process comes fast and furious when you work in a brothel - even if you aren't on your back. The Obama of two years ago is not the Obama of today. His "vision" and "dreams" are far tamer and his corrupting has made manifest in association with Ted Kennedy - who talked him into picking Biden to counter his inexperience.

No, the long election season corrupts politicians long before they get to office.

The sort of people who pose nude are not the sort of people one wants to see nude. It's frequency exclusive and quite ironic in a way. Likewise, the people who run for office are not the sort of people one wants to see in office.

Expecting deliverance is just another escape mechanism fostered by the hidden persuaders. It's a sham designed to funnel money and power to certain groups and individuals.

The sooner the deliverance seekers realize this and shake off the yoke of expectations and demands which they impose on others.

True deliverance is the day when one can look at the political races and parties and not care a whit for who is elected - and realize they can do nothing for you that you can't do for yourself and, if anything, that the time spent supporting these false idols is counterpoductive to your own position.
