Ridiculous. And typical.

Wind power could do a lot toward contributing to the available power supply. Right now there is nuclear power, hydroelectric power, oil- and coal-fired plants, wind generators and geo-thermal plants all contributing to that grid. Increasing the percentage supplied by wind could cut down the operating time of the others as well as their fuel requirements.

I'm not aware of any suggestion the country switch to wind-power and wind alone. Or any area. I'd be delighted to see where Pickens has suggested wind power be substituted for all other forms at all times.

As I said in another post, every solution brings with it problems which must then be resolved. But there is no magic bullet and it's important to bring every good thing possible online.
