>"The pregnant daughter will only become more visibly so in the months ahead and this will have even more appeal with today's youth who (thanks to the left and the entertainment culture) think pre-marital sex is a badge of honor and that pregnancy anytime after age 13 isn't really that bad and is actually glamorous".
LOL "Todays' youth" (if you knew any of them personally), would still tell you that out of wedlock pregnancies and the teens who have them are NOT "glamorous". It is NOT something to look up to or tghey want to emulate.
If anything, if these two win the election it's on a SYMPATHY BASIS.
Americans like heroes.
"Oh look....John McCain, what a GREAT American, he's been beaten and tortured by the enemy for YEARS; he is a symbol of our distress in the Middle East; let's honor that.
Oh look, Sarah Palin, what a great GREAT American woman. She's been through so much. Look at all those kids, looks at her Down's Syndrome baby and her pregnant 17 yr. old daughter. Why, she's just FABULOUS. She looks so coiffed and ready to go all the time. I want to be just like her."
The Republican ploy is working. I talked to my daughter at length last night and see she's buying into the APPEARANCE of her capability. She's identifying with the IMAGE. Whoever was behind McCain's pick is a political genius.
