I've posted occasional updates about what's going on with troopergate. It seems like it would have been a nice calm AK thing till the McCain campaign took charge of it. You are right that the Att. General's actions are mind-blowing. Though I confess enough ignorance of AK government that there may be some reason for it that I don't understand.
Where I come from the governor does not appoint the state Att. General. After our recent Washington experience, I really don't want Ms. Palin available to appoint her old high school chums to federal posts. Why the Republicans do is mystifying. Didn't they learn anything from Katrina? I mean, is it their goal to trample the Republican brand till there's nothing left at all? Maybe there's a secret plan to form a new conservative party and this is phase I.
