People need to be responsible, and when they are not, they need to be responsible for their actions.
We need smaller government. Anytime the government gets involved, so much money is wasted. You wouldn’t believe all the people around here trying to take advantage of FEMA. Some folks that wanted a new roof before IKE came along are thinking they can get FEMA to foot the bill- stuff like that. Heck, it happened with the Katrina folks. Many of them took advantage of FEMA. So much money wasted. Around here, people who bought generators, and gas to run them, can get reimbursed. What about us folks who went without a generator and the gas to run them. Do we get a tax break for not wasting tax payer’s money? I don’t want a handout, but I would like to keep more of the money I earn. I am not using FEMA to replace my fence IKE knocked down. Can I get a tax break instead?
The whole bailing out the mortgage companies ticks me off. There were lots of people like me were responsible and bought homes we could afford. Why should our tax money go to help those lenders, and the people they lint to, because they were irresponsible and got in over their heads? Do these folks who bought homes twice as big as mine, but can’t afford them get to keep theirs at the expense of the tax payers. A person has the responsibility to know what they can and can not afford.
I look around America and I keep seeing that the responsible Middle Class taxpayer keeps getting screwed. We pay so much in taxes, yet see little of it in return. Meanwhile the irresponsible and dishonest people are making out like bandits with our tax money.
Government needs to be smaller, and people need to be responsible. And when they are not responsible, they need to be responsible for their actions. I am tired of the Entitlement Generation.
