McCain has a lot going for him, but his knowledge of basic economic and political principles is weak. Too weak, and you get pragmatism, and political policies like those of Nixon (but not his ethics, thank goodness).

Obama is even worse in terms of economic and political principles, but the scary part is that he thinks he knows all about it. At least McCain knows he needs help.
