The assumption that Bush has America's best interests in mind.
I don't believe that. Bush's constiuency has always been the super-wealthy corporations and I believe anything he does will reflect that.
It is his mess, on his watch, and I see his bailout as Bush exiting in glory, having bankrupted the country to bail out the wealthy and leaving no money for social programs. In my opinion, one which is dead wrong more than half right, he cannot be trusted to handle this situation any more than he could be trusted to be CinC or uphold the Constitution.
