I think he really wanted to go help. Once he got there, I am not sure what happened.

If he realized he wasnâ€™t really needed and decided to head back to the debate- that was poor judgment and I question his judgment.

If gave in to all the â€œYou are chicken to debate Obamaâ€ as his reason to come back to the debate, then I loose all respect for him.

If he actually helped out, did his job as a senator, and now has time to go debate Obama, then more power to him.

Time will tell.
