I understand your frustration, Jody. I have always been a Republican. But I am a Republican that supports the liberals on environment, human rights and animal rights. I am a green Republican. I am a Republican that is not prejudice when it comes to race and gender. I don’t even have a problem with gays, as long as they don’t get in my face.

I have voted for a Democrat from time to time. It is rare, but I have done it. I try not to be a partisan hack. But I am a Conservative and Republican at my core. I believe in less taxes and smaller government.

I have tried to have an open mind with Obama. I even said I would support him if he made energy independence his top priority and a solid plan to back it up. But I have not seen him do that. And I am very worried that he is going to tax the heck out of corporate America, and they will respond by laying off people and raising the cost our goods and services. These are our employers he wants to tax. These are the hands that feed us which he wants to tax. And I fear he will not get the revenue for his social programs and will have to come after us Middle Class. I am never for raising taxes and I think it is a really bad idea when the economy is sour.

Unless Obama can change my mind (I don’t like Biden at all) I am voting for McCain and Palin this time. I believe that McCain has the country well being as his first interest. Over and over he has put his country first…above his own interest and well being, and I believe he will continue to do that.
