But if you hit too hard, the balloon bursts and the content spills out, expand, cool, change states, coalesce into particles which clump. The expansion into the nothingness continues and as gravity ramps up the clumping continues until one than another lights up. Like popcorn. Light, all over, which would vanish into the distance if there were eyes to see it.
