What? I've said that the bailout is pure pork, all of it, and doled out by Bush. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Clearly, "Bush" in this context means his administration. Paulson will dole it out in a manner which meets Bush's approval. And undoubtedly Cheney's. Without meaningful accountability. There had been no change in my meaning.
The entire bailout with the addendums and riders, the whole shebang, is pork. Patronage.
And, frankly, any incidental benefit to the country will be a by-product of Bush's taking care of his constiuency. As has everything else in this administration. (There hasn't been any incidental benefit to the US so far, by the way.)
I can see that you don't like "compromise". God knows, I tried.
