Although we are mostly allowed to express our views, a few investigative journalists have been murdered, along with whistleblowers dying "suspicious" deaths. There are hundreds of examples. The main media doesn't capture and broadcast it because they are controlled by the "State".

Look at what happened to the Kennedys and Martin Luther King. John Lennon for that matter.
And let's not forget our private assasination attempts to take out Castro and a laundry list of "regimes" the CIA has devised to remove, all illegally (recently even Chavez.)
Oh, and don't forget the more than 35 dead microbiologists.

And the destruction of the Whistle Blowers Act and their protection removed within this administration. Have you forgotten the muzzling of journalists and patriots at the beginning of the Iraq invasion? They were arresting and muzzling pastors and high school teachers for chrissakes! Not to mention anyone brave enough wearing a t-shirt criticizing his lord and master GWBush.
