What you say is exactly the case. Ms. Palin had no business dragging her kids across the country on the government's dime. Of course, what's really sleazy is how she changed the papaerwork after the fact in order to try and justify the trips. It's this kind of cheap, hypocritical behavior that has really soured Americans on John McCain's running mate.
And, more importantly is the utter lack of judgment John McCain has displayed in choosing Mr. Palin for his V.P.
Truly pathetic, but I am interested in hearing how Tom excuses McCain/Palin out of this one.
It should not be lost on anyone that today Obama/Biden opened up a ten point lead in the polls. This election is heading towards a landslide of historic proportions. John McCain has no one to blame but himself for his extraordinary poor judgement.
