I used to like McCain.

I even remember him when he was definately ANTI Bush during the 2000 elections.
Then one day, he dropped his attacks and was found standing next to GW at the podium and microphones.....bought and paid for, standing at attention with a tear in his eye. I figured they "got to him"; maybe got something over on him like a sexual escapde shot in the dark. (one way they control certain members of Congress for example. Lurid stuff and don't tell me it doesn't happen). Bribery and extortion work really well and save on bloody messes.

So, maybe now they offered McCain a run at the Presidency back then.
And maybe the men behind the curtain picked Palin, because they think she is dumb and a woman. A newbie that can be easily manipulated. Show her the red carpet. After all she is SITTING on the rights to all that Alaskan oil, and she's not even an "enemy". They can wine and dine her, appeal to her ego, and BAM! she rolls over. They'll make her part of the new Republican Energy Policy, name an oil tanker after her, and then cover up her billing of her kids trips on "official business" and block access to anything she does from here on out.

Seeing her and her husband in the company of that despicable and dangerous Lee Greenwood lets me know they're already introducing her to the seamier side of political life.
