Looting goes both ways
Your logic applied to capitalism: if you assume all wealthy people/capitalists to be moral and ethical, then they would charge only fair markups for the goods or services provided, they would never take advantage of people's gullibility or desperation, they would never try to manipulate markets to their unfair, huge advantage, there would never be a situation where big business suckered people into taking out bigger mortgages than they could afford on unrealistically inflated housing and would never, ever need, much less accept huge handouts from the government (read:the people) to get them out of situations they made for themselves.
