Are athlon procs Socket A?
Coworker threw away a gateway with a toasted mobo. He got a quote to repair for $300. I salvage the PS, a CD, a CDWR and a floppy (I like floppy drives, they remind me of StarTrek). I saved the cabling, a Nvidia agp, sound card and Nic card, two sticks of ram I haven't figured out what type yet, and the Athlon. Now I'm thinking for fun, getting a mobo (have case) and put it back together.
Is it socket A?
On ebay there are several for under $20.
