Dejection is the wrong term. Watching ignorance in action doesn't cause dejection any more than watching a student spell 90 percent of the words on his spelling test incorrectly.
It's merely a fact of life. The masses of the world are mostly illiterate, in a global election the winner would be the one who appeals to ignorance and selfishness.
Obama was elected by the lowest common denominator of America. That's not hyperbole - just the facts. The folks who voted for Obama are mostly poor & ignorant - and their are lots of them.
One has compassion for them and their plight. But like the poor folks who elected FDR 3 times, only to have him drag them deeper into poverty, due to FDR's ignorance of economics, all the while adoring him, an intelligent person cannot celebrate this increased suffering or the politics of pandering which will increase it.
The particular plight of the ignorant who do not understand wealth generation, economics or where the wealth really comes from in this nation.
The wealth generators sit back in their luxury homes, watch the slums grow, watch another exploiter rise to power on promises he can't keep and ironically - grow richer. Meanwhile the poor celebrate, jump all around as if they won the lottery, light up, do drugs or booze up, and will wake up in the same old squalor.
Ignorance blesses them with an inability to see that the poor just lost again. That in lieu of education and work ethic, the same old promises of handouts and looting the rich will pacify them. The poor are like Witness of Jehovahs refusing medical care because they believe in God's miracles. The poor are kept poor and ignorant just to help keep other non-wealth producers living the good life.
So, in light of all this, one just sighs.
The ignorant are not victims. They deserve their poverty, their DNC, DKOS and the exploiters who use them until they educate themselves and rise above it.
They deserve Obama and they got him.
Only a few of us realize the truth of the matter and it is a very unpopular truth.
But you asked - so you got the real deal.
