Our church had a funeral service for one member of a married lesbian couple. I don't know where they got married, or by who. It was years before we joined the church. The remaining woman is a member of the church council.
Seems to me if someone wants to get married, the laws aren't really much of an obstacle. Just needs more legal bullshit on the other side than a state-sanctioned marriage.
