I expect this is what will be taught in our schools. When I brought up Jefferson to my high school son, he clicked on "slave owner." I wasn't really surprised.
The ideas, writings, and speeches of our founders have long been one of the things standing in the way of reorganizing American the way many people would like it reorganized. The slow destruction of our history has been one goal of an education system owned from top to bottom by the Left.
If ruinous taxation was one reason for the Revolution, what of it? The idea that property and freedom are intertwined, something that almost made it to the Declaration of Independence, is another thing our modern education system is carefully rubbing out.
