re: I haven't overlooked that.

The NHS - does it stop, or attempt to stop me doing any of the following

Motor racing
Bungie Jumping
Sailing
Horse Riding
Playing Football
or Rugby
or even Boxing
Hell - they don't even try to ban Smoking - they just tax it so it more than pays for its own medical impact.

(I do some of the things in that list, I don't do all of them)

So - this wide open door for state control of things that might possibly addect my need for medical care. Where is it Tom, where is it? All of those have the potential to injure or kill. Infact they do. I was in my local A&E on Thursday on a work related visit, and saw a kid who'd dislocated a shoulder playing football. The state doesn't just NOT try and stop such a thing, it will happily encourage it because it means the kid is out there being healthy.

Some policemen helping some drunk idiots get home a little more safely - and you're on the anti-UK rant again.
