Thanks for letting me/us know where you're coming from. It's easier to understand someone's point of view if you know how it was formed.
Me, I had Christian parents too. Went to a non-denominational church and stopped going when I was 10. My mother had a strong belief in "God" but no one in my family studied the bible- much.
After awhile, it dawned on me there were too many mutually exclusive religions and it was doubtful that one of them was "right".
Funny how so many civilizations have come up with the concept of God and the afterlife. Actually is there one that hasn't? I guess it's all a response to the fear of death. Would be nice though...
