in older times before STICKER SHOCK of the 70's you could buy a new Ford or Chebby for only 800 bucks or so trading in the 2 yr old jalopy for a bran spankin' new one, dad did it from like 56 to 68 but when the prices of the cars went sky high(4500 bucks? ha) he bought used.... Now you gotta be crazy to buy a IMPALA for 33 grand or a Malibu for 23k..insane!
