A great post, Brian. And I suspect there are wide individual variations in that.
In my experience if one has learned to truly appreciate those moments alone they have come to the point where they can truly appreciate them with someone else.
Until then one is borrowing and bouncing off the other parties appreciation. We are pressuring them to validate our moment. What if they weren't as moved, would that diminish our experience? Would that render the event the lesser? What about us are we forcing another to take responsibility for? What are we placing in their care, without even letting them know of their new responsibilities?
I don't think those questions apply to anyone else here or on these boards. We all have our own ways. However, those were issues I had to confront.
And a great post. Thatnks.
