We are on good terms with our traditional allies, and I can't think of a nation or political entity hostile to America now that wasn't hostile many years before Iraq. Come to that, point out a nation hostile to us that has the moral standing to lecture us on morals and world behavior. Iran? Syria? Russia? China?
The radical Islamists that hate us now hated us before. As a number of people have pointed out, apparently to no avail, we had no troops at all in Iraq or Afghanistan when we were attacked on 9/11, and the attack was planned before Bush ever was elected.
