Aren't you getting tired of the financial meltdown being explained to you by the same people who made it happen and profited mightily from setting it up? Businessmen, politicans, journalists, academics, pundits, analysts--they all earned their living by the financial system in one way or another, and now have every incentive to minimize whatever role they or their ideology might have had in the collapse and point the finger at someone else.

Well, there are alternative views as to what happened, just as persuasive, articulately presented, and thoroughly documented; and just as unbiased as any other. Footnotes and graphs are not the whole truth, all sides in every debate have access to libraries and the Web; in the social sciences, interpretation is the key. After all, this is not climatology.
