re: Termites

"TB, go into any large city's financial district today and look at the office towers, the executive suites, the computers and communications links. Consider the massive apparatus of control and the vast hierarchy of controllers. And it not only extends internally, to the organizations involved, it spreads its links to other firms, to government, and through marketing and mass media and by control of credit and currency to every single person and enterprise on the planet. We already live in a "managed economy". The only question is, who is doing the managing?"

Well, I don't want to do all that managing.

If I liked managing, I would do the dishes.

Of course, I do dishes, but what I mean is
I would like doing the dishes- that it would bring me
some kind of joy and meaning to my life.

Isn't "the problem" power.
And isn't the best solution to "power" is to have powers compete? So, for example the problem isn't Bill Gates [or his shitty software], but the lack of having enough Bill Gates.

Let's have the best managers managing.
And the people who say or imagine they are the best managers don't necessarily manage very well.
And there needs to be some objective way to test this ability.
And the people getting "the managed" will have better knowledge of how it's being managed. So, they need to be able to have some way determine whether it's a good or bad manager.
