Astronomy Magazine had an article about that in the 1980â€™s

It had some really nice illustrations showing Venus evolving with continents and oceans, to what she has become todayâ€™s. It even had a cross section showing tectonic activity, and how it slowed to a stop.

I wonder if I still have that issue? If I can find it, Iâ€™ll scan the article.
