tough mission, but there's an alternative
Tough mission - land, quick analysis to sort through rock types within reach to find felsic rock (and hope they're there), sample it, and launch a balloon that can handle a heavy instrument payload, all before the lander fries. I'd guess that's two generations of Flagship Missions to Venus away from where we are now.
My alternative for the next two decades would be to spend more money sorting though meteorite collections to find Venusian meteorites. We'd probably find more Martian meteorites too at the same time, and maybe get really lucky and get one from Mercury.
