If anyone recalled my posts on the subject for more than the time it took them to erase them from their brains, they would remember that the other major number I discovered was that teacher salaries, in constant dollars, went up by only a fraction over that same period of time.

The rest of your post is insane. Republicans siphoning off the money? There are probably eight total Republicans in the entire educational bureaucracy. Maybe twenty in the book publishing industry. You can't possibly be stupid enough to think all CEOs are Republicans. Are you?
Education spending in California has gone up 46 percent in recent years, on a per-student basis. And the only way they say they can cut that back is to fire teachers. I don't buy it. Do you?
