That's interesting. My original point was that when Reagan did it they called it "peacemaking". When the Iranians want some insurance the Conservatives go ballistic. So far without missiles.
Which brings to mind the so-called "missile defense shield". The only reason for that can be to prevent a response to an American or Israeli attack on Iran. The only conceivable reason Iran would launch those missiles would be a last-gasp retaliation - they certainly aren't going to attack anyone first.
And otherwise the goal of the shield is the expense of the shield.
