Let's see Saddam did have WMD at one time, used them to maintain power against ethnic groups that still held a grudge, obstructed UN wmd inspections, continually tested sanctions and weakened them, key security council members France, Russia, and China showed no willingness to enforce the sanctions.
From these facts you conclude Saddam no longer had interest in WMD and that sanctions would have "continued to work". Brilliant absolutely briliant.
