I'm truly having trouble following. And we'll see if that war is "being won".

Saddam had WMDs at one time, acquired from the United States of America. And he used them against his enthnic minorities and Iran. The US provided them to Iraq as part of the support given in the war against Iran.

Saddam had them during the first gulf war and did not use them.

And then Saddam got rid of the weapons and any trace of an ability to make them again.

You are suggesting he was interested in making them again? Besides your intuition, what evidence do you have for that? What would he use them on?

And as far as the war "being won", that will be easy. We'll just wait. The storm may be over or it may be in the eye of it.

By the way, there were 520,000 American troops, Iraqi troops, foreign troops and mercenaries in-country. How much of an effect would the addition of 21,500 have?
